My new offering, the Simulated Energy Rating Service (SERS), is a cost effective solution to having to install costly, and sometimes unnecessary Energy Saving Measures, such as insulation, or more efficient appliances.
With the introduction of the Government’s Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES), whereby rental domestic properties must achieve an energy rating of C or above (on a scale of A – G, 0 – 100) by 2025, and all rental properties reach a C rating by 2028 (obviously subject to change?), and failure to meet these standards could result in landlords receiving hefty fines, I’ve introduced my new Simulated Energy Rating Service (SERS)!
This service is specifically designed to allow landlords to have various energy saving scenarios simulated for a property, for example, when it doesn’t achieve a C energy rating, but a high D, and the cheapest “recommended” measure offered by the EPC would be too costly! For example, Solar panels, or External wall insulation.
In this scenario, and if applicable an extra layer of loft insulation might boost the D rating to a C, and be considerably cheaper than installing the recommended alternatives?
SERS identifies these situations, and would be cheaper (from just £100, no VAT to pay), and less hassle than having multiple Energy Assessments carried out on a property.
